考研翻译重点考查对长难句的理解和表达的能力。其中的重难点之一就是比较结构。除了more than 类，还有难度较低的as类，也是考点之一，而且出现的频率很高，每次考查都对原有句型有所变换，增加了难度。
(1)as + 形容词/副词的原级+as出现在2009年的48题中：
While it is easy to ignore in our contact with them the effect of our acts upon their disposition, it is not so easy as in dealing with adults. (2009年48题)
这是最简单的一种考查方式，只是把原有的句型变成其否定式，这时第一个as也可以用so代替，即not as/so + 形容词/副词的原级+as，译为不和一样。又如：
Television is one of the means by which these feelings are created and conveyedand perhaps never before has it served so much to connect different peoples and nations as is the recent events in Europe.(2005年46题)
此句也是否定句，但使用的是never而非no，无疑增加了难度，考查了考生对这一句型的辨析能力。
所以，以上两句可以翻译为不和与成年人打交道时一样和电视的作用不和欧洲进来发生的事件一样大。当然，这一部分的翻译还需根据其他部分重新调整语言表达。
(2)as + 形容词+a(n)+可数名词单数+as出现在1999年的71题中：
While there are almost as many definitions of history as there are historians, modern practice most closely conforms to one that sees history as the attempt to recreate and explain the significant events of the past.(1999年71题)
不同的是，这里的形容词是表示数量的many，那么名词就得用复数。但是这个句型的意义不变，还是和一样。这个短语意为历史学的定义和历史学家一样多。当然，这并不符合汉语的表达习惯，可以改译为每个历史学家对史学都有自己的界定。
在2006年47题中：
His function is analogous to that of a judge, who must accept the obligation of revealing in as obvious a matter as possible the course of reasoning which led him to his decision.
第二个as后出现了possible，使考生茫然无措。其实，划线部分是in an obvious manner和asas possible两个结构的叠加，不是译为和一样，而是尽可能。此处为用尽可能明了的方式。
综上所述，比较结构是翻译中较为困难的知识点，需要广大考生在掌握基本用法的基础上，根据上下文调整汉语的表达方式，达到准确，完整，通顺的标准。
