说到强调大家似乎并不陌生，而且因为它在形式上的特殊性，并不是很难，所以大家容易忽视。可在考研英语中的运用，它却活灵活现，深受本族人的喜爱，自然也让出题人爱不释手，真题中反复出现，我们一起来领略一下吧。
首先，先看一道真题吧。这道题来自2006年第二篇阅读理解。
However, the playgoers do manage a little sight-seeing along with their playgoing. It is the playgoers, the ESC contends, who bring in much of the towns revenue because they spend the night (some of them four or five nights) pouring cash into the hotels and restaurants.

题干要求同学们在第三段中推断正确答案，但是历年的考研规律我们发现很多时候，并不是在一段话里去推断，而是在某几句话中去推断。在这段文字中，我们猜猜命题人会中意那些句子呢?在这里为了节约篇幅，我们缩小了范围，仅仅罗列出几句话，大家来看一下，有什么特点?however是大家熟悉的转折词语，接下来呢，一个非常小的单词do,不起眼却很重要，因为在学术类的文章中，作者是很少去留下一下主观性的线索，在这里do强调。接着更不可思议的是一个强调句接踵而来：it iswho短短的两句话里，作者用了转折词，强调词，强调句。这怎么能出题人在此放过呢?所以尽管是推断整段话，其实是对这两句话的深入剖析，作者想强调什么，作者在偏爱着什么?显然这些都是围绕playgoer而展开的，在比较playgoer 与sightseer 之间对小镇的贡献。那么就请你仔细阅读作者在强调什么，哪个是正确答案呢?
这道题让大家不再拘泥于以往对强调狭隘的认识，现在我们小试牛刀，再来体验一下真题的运用吧.

这道题相对而言，比较容易定位，我们根据名字的专有性定位此范围，大家已有对前面一道题的认识，已经会对考研试题有一定的敏感性，把视野定位在此句：But science does provide us with the best available guide to the future.再具体一点，其实就是这两个词语：but, does. 好了，再结合题目，science can serve as 文章里面有词语guide,那么就来选项中寻找与这个词语相近的词语，只有D项原词复现。
